What on earth is this

In January 2024 I quit my stable job as a programmer to work on game development full time, armed with nothing but a pretty shoddy and not-even-particularly-compelling prototype.

To convince my family I wasn't (only) sleeping in all day, I told them I founded Slow Rush Studios: my very own game development company - and told them to subscribe to my newsletter for clever updates.

Surprisingly, a whole bunch of other people have also agreed to admit me to their inboxen.

Anyways, for the first 9 months I was self funded, but in the second half of 2024 I managed to secure some funding in the form of government grants.

It wasn't a huge amount, but at least now I've beat the average 'revenue' for a Steam-released game, so I feel pretty good about that.

Why Slow Rush

A "slow rush" is what I feel when I find something cool & unexpected - would be great to give others that same feeling too.
